The classic but little-seen Egyptian film STRUGGLE ON THE NILE features dashingly handsome leading man Omar Sharif in one of his earliest screen roles (three years before his international star-making turn in LAWRENCE OF ARABIA). Sharif stars as an unworldly village youth accompanying his best friend (Rushdi Abazah) on a boat trip up the Nile River, where their friendship is complicated by the discovery of a beautiful gypsy stowaway (Hind Rostom).
