Unapologetic white boys who describe themselves as the Beatles to Eminem's "Elvis of Rap," Woodpile give insight into their enigmatic title on the intro to "I'm A Wood," as a little girl asks her dad what "Wood" means. "A cracker, a peckerwood, a hardwood. Hell, you know the Woodpile" is the unexpected response. Eclectic and well-schooled in the musical elements of the game, the Wood's style takes influence from various realms of hip-hop, including down south crunk, west coast gangsta, and east coast grime.
