STIGMATA HIGH FIVE, the debut from Canada's grindcore titans Fuck the Facts, isn't the type of album you'd put on for a romantic dinner. It isn't conducive to focused meditation, and it probably wouldn't sound right first thing in the morning after a night of heavy drinking. In fact, the tune "The Sound of Your Smashed Head" pretty much sums up the effect of STIGMATA HIGH FIVE. Skin-shearing riffs, bludgeoning drums, and inhuman vocals mount an unrelentingly intense assault on the ears of any listener. In this, Fuck the Facts fulfills its extreme metal obligation, and fans will be fully satisfied.
