Boston underground-vets Edo G, Jaysaun (of the Kreators), Slaine, and DJ JayCeeOh combined to form Special Teamz in 2005. After a strong mixtape debut, the group signed with Duck Down and put together STEREOTYPEZ, a tour de force of Boston street-hop, heavy on true-school beats and hardcore lyrics. STEREOTYPEZ features beats from an all-star cast of producers including Pete Rock, Marco Polo, Jake One, Moss, and DJ Premier as well as guest appearances from Buckshot, Sean Price, Ill Bill, Devin the Dude, and fellow Bostonians Akrobatik, JY, Twice Thou, and Frankie Wainwright.
