Title Note

The first single from Boomerang was such a brilliant monster of a song that in some ways the rest of the album could only hope to keep up to its standards. Over a rampaging drum attack that showcases Budgie at his creative finest, Sioux delivers a withering assessment of the type of guys who think shouting comments at random women walking down the street equals romance. Ominous brass parts add to the thrilling, angry blast. Equally striking in a different way was the 'Andalucian mix' of the song included here -- ten minutes long, it incorporates even more drumming to at once become a touch more dancefloor friendly and to extend the heavy percussion vibes throughout into a masterful arrangement. "Solar Choir," which surfaced on the CD version of Boomerang, crops up here as well, a nicely dreamy little song, while the otherwise unavailable "Divided," feels more like a nicely spooked out little jam than anything else. ~ Ned Raggett
