Review

Alternative Press (p.130) - 4.5 stars out of 5 -- "Thursday balance the emotionally riveting, angular post-hardcore for which they're legendary with an orchestral edge..."
Kerrang (Magazine) (p.52) - "They've fashioned something to rival Mogwai's otherworldly, aggressive post-rock. What the two bands share is the desire to disorientate and push boundaries in their own way."

Title Note

Thursday/Envy (Hardcore): Tetsuya Fukagawa, Masahiro Tobita, Nobukata Kawai, Manabu Nakagawa, Dairoku Seki, Tucker Rule, Andrew Everling, Tom Keely, Geoff Rickly, Tim Payne, Steve Pedulla.

New Jersey post-hardcore heroes Thursday have shown a real willingness to stretch out and try new sounds, and they take it one step further by teaming up with moody, complex Japanese art-rockers Envy on their latest split release. Thursday's four songs are also split, with two of them more characteristic of their previous sound, including soaring opener "As He Climbed the Dark Mountain," and two of them embracing electronic textures and glitches. Envy lives and dies by carefully plotted quiet patches, broken up by bouts of thrashing heaviness, such as the shoegazer fuzz of "Isolation of a Light Source."
