Flutist and longtime New Age artist Richard Warner uses the ancient text of Taoist philosophy known as the TAO TE CHING to inspire and guide this work. The album is a musical interpretation of Lao Tzu's journey to spiritual enlightenment. Using the wilderness as a general theme throughout the release, Warner uses bamboo flutes, other Japanese woodwinds, and the recorded sounds of nature to send the listener to landscapes filled with natural wonders, such as "Sunrise," "Water," and "Mountain in the Mist." Along the way, Warner reveals his transcendent spirituality, along with his love for nature and the simple joys of the Tao.
