Title Note

This compilation features the best of the bad boys and girls from below the Mason-Dixon line. There is no sweet country-pop on this album, just a selection of tracks from tough-guy outlaw types, including Steve Earle, Merle Haggard, Drive By Truckers, the Kentucky Headhunters, Wet Willie, and the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. While some of the selections (Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" and .38 Special's "Hold On Loosely") are a tad uninspired, there are also plenty of forgotten gems, such as the female-fronted Rossington Collins Band's "Don't Misunderstand Me."
