Anita Kerr is a member of Nashville royalty, having been a key songwriter, producer, and singer since the 1950s. Her vocal group served as the backup singers for countless country and light pop acts, and also recorded several albums in their own right.. This late-'60s collection is prime, easy-listening Anita Kerr, her soprano carrying the melody of many delightful pop songs of the era, including a weird but fun country-shuffle take on Sonny & Cher's "The Beat Goes On." B. J. Baker, Gene Merlino, and Bob Tebow (alto, tenor, and bass, respectively) are no slouches in the vocal department, either.
