Holding a reputation as one of the most unabashedly sensual artists in the world of 1970s soul, Millie Jackson hit the scene with a number of R&B chart hits including "If Loving You Is Wrong I Don't Want To Be Right." Characterized by their risqu‚ lyrics and racy delivery, Jackson's songs gained her a strong cult following. The collection SOUL CIRCUIT RETROSPECTIVES, however, focuses on Millie's more mainstream output for the Jive and Ichiban labels in the '80s and '90s. While not as unique as many of her '70s jams, the set still captures Jackson's strong voice and unique delivery.
