Title Note

The second album by Florida-based singer-songwriter John Ralston moves decisively away from the sparse, Dashboard Confessional-like feel of his debut, NEEDLE BED. In its place, SORRY VAMPIRE is an unapologetically over the top, lavishly produced record that features Ralston and a rotating crew of sidemen and guests creating something akin to an emo version of Phil Spector's Wall of Sound. Multiple vocal and instrumental overdubs, vintage synthesizers, found-sound samples, and all manner of unexpected instrumentation color these songs, giving the album a pleasantly rich, detailed sound.
