Title Note

Personnel: Otis Rush (vocals, guitar); Jesse Lawis (vocals, drums); Bob Levis (guitar); Bob Strokes (bass guitar).

Recorded live in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1977, this installment of the SONET BLUES STORY series finds Chicago blues legend Otis Rush in top form. Backed by a solid band, the revered singer/guitarist lays into classics such as the slowly strutting "Little Red Rooster," the simmering "Gotta Be Some Changes Made," and the rollicking "You Don't Have to Go," with his fiery electric six-string lines always speaking louder than his laid-back vocals. Although most of these tracks have appeared on other releases, SONET BLUES STORY gives Rush's tunes the best presentation, and even throws in two alternate takes to sweeten the deal.
