Edguy has made a name for itself for nearly 15 years as the band that offset Helloween's brand of epic power metal with a sense of humor. Coming into its own as a force of metal effervescence, Edguy releases THE SINGLES, a compilation of material previously only available on several pricey import singles. If nothing else, the collection offers an intriguing cross-section of Edguy's songwriting ability, all from impassioned epic ballads ("Blessing In Disguise") to blunt humor ("Life and Times of a Bonus Track"). Also included in this set are a cover of Europe's "I'll Cry For You" and a duet with former Helloween mainman Michael Kiske on "Judas at the Opera."
