In the spirit of South African nu-metallists Seether, who sound for all the world like U.S.-born and bred heavy rockers, comes Blindside, who are from, of all places, Sweden. Sure, Swedish garage-rockers like the Hives had already made themselves known, but who would have guessed that such American-sounding nu-metal would originate in that part of the world as well? Turns out Blindside has enough of the heavy rock moves down cold to break through in America. No wonder--their razorblade guitars, hoarse, intense vocals, and jackhammer drums drive home a vision fully as intense as any of their hard-rock peers in any country. The sound of sonic chaos sometimes comes in the form of SILENCE.
