Originally intended as a home recording project, Rotheray brought in musicians to realise his ideas and formed the Homespun collective. Featuring guest vocals from the likes of Sam Brown and Mary Coughlan the album continues with the mix of witty lyrics and downbeat pop that The Beautiful South were renowned for.
