Title Note

Like many bands on the ever-inventive Asthmatic Kitty label, Rafter weld quality pop parts together with an experimental sensibility. From the drowsy folk-pop of "Sleazy Sleepy" (complete with mariachi horns) to the left field sonic romp of "Cuddling Raccoons,"and the lo-fi confessionalism of "I Love You Most of All," SEX DEATH CASSETTE is an aural pastiche that wins the listener over with its fun, indie adventurousness, and--more impressively--with a genuine sense of songcraft and honest-to-God feeling.
