The Portland emo quartet's second album smoothes out its artier edges, replacing the band's more experimental tendencies with an accessible sound that consolidates its lyrical and musical strengths. A concept album of sorts, SET SAIL THE PRAIRIE is built around a 12-month journey around the world, with each song inspired by a different country. Highlights include the mischievously shifting rhythms of "Empire" and the climactic "Campfire."
