When SESAME STREET premiered in 1969, the public-television show changed the face of children's broadcasting with a fun and educational blend of animation, live-action, and puppetry that teaches simple preschool concepts like counting and the alphabet. Spanning the years 1969-1974, this collection presents the best of the series' first five seasons with five complete episodes; the original pilot; 45 classic segments, including "I Love Trash," "Rubber Duckie," "C is for Cookie," "Ladybug Picnic," "Wanda the Witch," and "Pinball Number Count;" and guest appearances by James Earl Jones, Jesse Jackson, Johnny Cash, and Jackie Robinson.
