SONY Masterworks is proud to present the debut solo album by soprano ELIZABETH WATTS. Born in 1979, Elizabeth has already garnered an impressive list of accolades, including reaching the final and winning the prestigious Rosenblatt Recital Song Prize at the 2007 Cardiff Singer of the World Competition, winning the Kathleen Ferrier Prize in 2006, the MIDEM Classique Award for Outstanding Young Artist Award in 2007, and has also been selected for BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artists Scheme.

A rising star in the UK, Elizabeth has appeared at the Purcell Room, Bridgewater Hall, Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, among many others. Recent and upcoming performance highlights include performances at the BBC Proms (September 2008), a Wigmore Hall recital (October 2008), and appearances as Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro with the Welsh National Opera during April and May 2009. Her debut recording is a diverse and fascinating collection of Schubert lieder accompanied by the internationally acclaimed pianist Roger Vignoles.
