Three years after leaving Korn, guitarist Brian "Head" Welch releases his aggressive solo debut, 2008's SAVE ME FROM MYSELF. Taking the name from his autobiography, SAVE ME chronicles a series of bleak, real-life situations with positive, morally uplifiting outcomes. Retaining his signature white-knuckle guitar style, Welch experiments with industrial motifs and vocal effects to make a visceral musical statement, with the help of such notable musicians as Tony Levin (David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, King Crimson), Josh Freese (The Offspring, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle), and Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, John Zorn, Fantomas).
