From the creator of COWBOY BEBOP and the minds behind the animation in KILL BILL comes this equally hip series that mixes genres as freely as its predecessor. The two samurai, Mugen and Jin, as well as their companion Fuu, are wandering through Japan searching for the "samurai who smells of sunflowers." Along the way they meet a man Mugen feels an affinity for, despite the fact that he has burned down his own village. Eventually they find themselves involved in a graffiti-tagging competition, although the series is set in feudal Japan--a signature characteristic of director Shinichiro Watanabe's work. Encountering a girl with knowledge of the sunflower samurai, the trio makes its way to Nagasaki, heading straight for a dangerous trap that awaits them.
