Synopsis

Part 2 of SAM, the TV drama set in the 1930s. Sam Wilson's mother Dora has left her husband and taken Sam back to her hometown of Skellerton, a Yorkshire mining village. Dora has met a new man, Alan, and she and son Sam have set up home with him. There's drama at the pit and Dora becomes pregnant. Contains the episodes: "The Cost of Living", "Out of the Blue", "United We Stand", "The Beginning of Winter."Young Sam is taken with his mother, Dora, to the mining village of Skellerton to live with her father Jack.
