This CD is designed to help cure marital ills, advise those unlucky in love, and bless those already in love-all in the name of the Lord. Based on the teachings of the book THE LADY, HER LOVER, AND HER LORD, this album is Bishop T.D. Jacks' unique missionary means of making Christ the center of peoples' personal and sensual relationships. Surely SACRED LOVE SONGS is one of the first albums dedicated to bringing the Bible back into the bedroom. Jacks alternates brief lyrical sermons with smooth and sexy contemporary R&B numbers about replenishing the flesh through the refreshing of the spirit.

Jacks is entirely successful in his seemingly odd combination of goals. SACRED LOVE SONGS' message is morally righteous without seeming prudish.
