The honey-voiced Latin crooner returns to melt the hearts of women from 18 to 80. While many of Miguel's previous albums have been on the cutting edge of contemporary pop technology, ROMANCES finds the singer opting for a more lush, traditional approach. The songs here feature full orchestration that perfectly outlines the romantic themes. Sweeping strings and rich horns combine with accordion and mandolin for a sound that is simultaneously grand and intimate. Miguel brings to bear his impressive communicative abilities to invest these love ballads with personality and passion.
