Title Note

A considerable departure for Four Tet (aka Kieran Hebden), 2008's RINGER EP replaces his signature warm, folk-tinged electronica with a chilly Krautrock-influenced aesthetic. "Techno" in the common synth-heavy sense of the term, this release may shock avid fans, but once the initial jolt passes, listeners will notice that Hedben's knack for minimalist melodies is still in place (i.e. the icy, hypnotic "Ribbons.")
