Released two years after I'M IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE, this 2008 album once again finds Kenny G in a romantic state of mind. Going for a light Latin vibe, the smooth-jazz saxophonist delves into salsa (see "Sax-O-Loco" and "Salsa Kenny") and tango (titled, of all things, "Tango"), but sounds most comfortable in ballad mode, as on "Sabor A Mi" and "Peruvian Nights," where he eases into his signature relaxed soprano sax lines. While vocalist Barbara Munoz appears on the lively "Mirame Bailar" and the Mexican pop group Camila stops by on the sensitive "Es Hora De Decir," the focus never shifts away from Senor G for long, making RHYTHM & ROMANCE another Kenny crowd-pleaser.

Despite harsh critism, one cannot forget that this is the same man that began his career as part of Barry Whites band. Despite recycling material, heres hoping that this will bring his older fans back to the Kenny G better known for his infectious improv melodies.
