Title Note

As its name clearly indicates, Against All Authority is dedicated to rebellion (or at least what passes for it in the early days of the new millennium), and on 2006's THE RESTORATION OF CHAOS & ORDER, the Florida-based band plays sloganeering hardcore punk in the proud tradition of Anti-Flag and Strike Anywhere, setting its sights mainly on that target of targets George W. Bush. While the blistering title track and "Sweet Televised Destruction" decry government policies over hard-charging, guitar-heavy backing, "Radio Waves" skewers Top 40 pop radio, showing that Against All Authority's raspy-voiced rage can extend beyond topical political discourse. While perhaps not as immediate and revelatory as the first wave of political hardcore from the early 1980s, Against All Authority has all the right moves to inspire a little rebellion amongst spikey-haired high schoolers the nation over.
