Poland's Cracow Klezmer Band stand at intersection of traditional Jewish music and the avant-garde. The quartet's 2007 album, REMEMBRANCE, released by John Zorn as part of his Tzadik label's Radical Jewish Culture series, mixes klezmer instrumentation and musical themes with an expansive compositional approach. The result is an album at once urgent, frenetic, and hauntingly nuanced.
