Issued in 2001, RECORD IN RED remains a fine example of Marmoset's dark, dreamy indie-rock, which often brings to mind the Shins in a more subdued mode. From the woozy "Golden Cloak" to the punchy "Lost Days for Ways," RED is both consistent and dynamic, and proves why the group still is one of Indiana's best open secrets.
