Director Taggart Siegel focuses his cameras on radical farmer John Peterson for this documentary. Peterson turned his farm into a haven for hippies, radicals, and artists in the 1960s, only to find the people he aimed to help turned on him as the years passed. THE REAL DIRT ON FARMER JOHN highlights these events, and shows how Peterson eventually turned his life around after the tumultuous uprising against him.
