Vancouver's Bison B.C. don't have time for music that isn't heavy, and, true to form, QUIET EARTH is a monster of pummeling riffs. Both the faster, hardcore-influenced numbers like "Dark Towers" and the giant lizard stomp of "Slow Hand of Death" have a place in Bison's world. Even mournful strings find a home in the epic "Wendigo Pt. 1" Much too alert to be called stoner metal, there's still a kind of haze around QUIET EARTH.

East-Vancouver skid-thrash-metal stalwarts Bison B.C. are here to drink your beer, trash your room, and melt your face. not quite stoner-metal, the albums peak moments of fury are what seperates it from others in the genre.. mega-tight riffs, an awesome guttural metal roar by lead singer James Farwell, and an overall thematic cohesion make this one of the best Canadian metal releases ever... and if you have any doubts as to the truth of that claim, all you need to do is pump the title track to find out why.
