Title Note

Released less than a year after 2005's ULTIMATUM EP, the Long Winters' PUTTING THE DAYS TO BED further refines the Seattle group's take on indie-pop with a buoyant set of tunes written by frontman John Roderick. The bright-and-shiny opener, "Pushover," effectively establishes the album's tone with a full-bodied, keys-enhanced arrangement lifting the guitar-based track to greater heights. Other standout songs include the jaunty "Fire Island, AK" and the twangy "Clouds," one of the record's dreamier moments.
