Paris Bennett's sleek, palatable dance-pop charmed audiences on the fifth season of AMERICAN IDOL (where Bennett placed as a finalist), and the singer's solo debut PRINCESS P wraps that sound in a glossy package. Bennett excels at bouncy club fare ("Ordinary Love"), cheeky retro exercises ("My Boyfriend's Back"), and mid-tempo balladry with gospel-influenced vocal flourishes ("Daddy"). Like a lot of AmIdol artists, Bennett's music can seem light and fluffy, but it's that very quality that makes PRINCESS P a pleasurable pop concoction.
