For the most part, this volume in Capitol's Platinum series, covering the career of the Stray Cats, is nonessential listening. If you dig this band, the set to get is Runaway Boys: A Retrospective '81-'92, released on CD in 1997. It contains all 25 cuts you need. This one spends too much time on the latter comeback tracks from the 1990s and leaves off some of the band's greatest moments. Hold out for the real thing. ~ Thom Jurek
