Created by animators Friz Freleng and David H. DePatie, the Pink Panther debuted in the opening credits of Blake Edwards's feature film of the same name, but was so popular with audiences that he became the star of numerous cartoons between 1964 and 1980. This collection contains 27 of the cat's zany adventures, as the Pink Panther becomes a cattle herder out west, joins the army, stows away on a ship, and pilots a jet. Included also are "Sink Pink" and "Pink Ice," the only two in which the feline actually speaks, and "Pink Phink," the 1964 Oscar winner for Best Animated Short.
