The original soundtrack to PETE KELLY'S BLUES, the 1955 film starring Jack Webb, featured Dixieland and hot jazz from the 1920s. Although Peggy Lee and Ella Fitzgerald appear and perform in the film, they were not on the original soundtrack. The 2008 ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK EXTENDED version corrects this oversight by including a generous helping of tracks by each. Exempt from this version are the tracks that appeared on the original release by the Dixieland orchestra, led by clarinetist Matty Matlock, jamming on such tunes as "What Can I Say After I Say I'm Sorry" and "Somebody Loves Me." Yet this 2008 version is obviously noteworthy for its inclusion of the Lee and Fitzgerald tracks, making it a nice addendum for fans of the original 1955 soundtrack.
