This Oklahoma band's debut album was overseen by the famed Texas country producer Lloyd Maines, father of the Dixie Chicks' member Natalie, who gives this collection of barroom ballads his trademark naturalistic sheen. Highlights include the drinking song "Drinkin' Song," the sensitive, regretful "Backslider Blues," and the chugging road song "If I Ever Get Back to Oklahoma."
