Product Notes

The folks at popular archivist label Rhino have dug up an exhaustive range of Paul McCartney material for this collection of his video work. The focus here is firmly on McCartney's post-Beatles career, and the combination of rare concert material and more than 40 music videos will be rapturously received by his dedicated fanbase. The material stretches back as far as 1970 and the release of the first McCartney solo record before progressing through Wings-era highlights, which include a rare promo feature for BAND ON THE RUN. More recent material includes a chance to see McCartney and band producing a glorious headline set at 2004's Glastonbury Festival, "Let It Be" from Live Aid, and a 1991 entry into MTV's lauded UNPLUGGED series. With over four hours of material included, and audio commentary provided by the former Beatle himself, this is an essential collection for fans.

2 out of 5 stars WHERE IS THE LOGIC IN THIS SET?, November 12, 2007
By THE QUIET ONE WAS THE SMARTEST
Disc 3 can be thrown away. "selected" cuts from ROCKSHOW and UNPLUGGED that should both in their own right be re-issued on DVD in their entirety. The music videos are out of chronological order, mixed up, and incomplete. Where is MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB? WILD LIFE? UNCLE ALBERT? WINTER ROSE/LOVE AWAKE. He took "BACK TO THE EGG" hacked it up, pulled a few tracks off the 45 minute promitional film and included them on this DVD. Ridiculous, just release the whole 45 minute film on this DVD set. Many other Macca videos are also missing. This is for the novice teen-2o something fan , not for anyone over 30 years old who knows what McCartney has on hand to release yet holds back on us..year after year. Shoddy release. I made no comment on the visual quality or the audio just the TRACK LISTING which is at beast "incomplete".
