PARTY MONSTER is the shockumentary that probes the seedy underbelly of the New York City "Club Kid" scene and its troubled leader, Michael Alig. Alig had been a successful nightclub promoter and unofficial King of the Club Kids before his drug addiction led him to brutally murder his roommate and fellow scenester Angel Melendez. This alternately funny and frightening documentary not only follows the downward spiral that took Alig off the dance floor and into a prison cell, but also examines the nihilistic Club Kid culture that allowed him to boast of his crime. Directors Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato (THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE, 101 RENT BOYS) remade their chilling expose into a feature film of the same name starring Macaulay Culkin as the party animal turned murderer Alig.
