Title Note

Although THE OTHA SIDE... is OJ Da Juiceman's first proper LP, he's been a regular on the Atlanta mixtape circuit since the early 2000s. And while the themes running through his inaugural solo release are familiar (money, women, partying), they're also a celebration of having, as the title suggests, emerged from the trap of street crime and hustling. But OJ also has a keen ear for the sounds that have been fermenting in the Southern rap scene; TRAP is a veritable case study in the art of low-key delivery and hyperactive beats which then get chopped up to a mid-tempo bounce.
