Maurice Williams & the Zodiacs are known primarily for their recording of the 1960 R&B classic "Stay." While it was the only national hit the group would have, they recorded numerous tunes of similar quality. The Original Master Tapes Collection features 23 early-'60s tracks initially recorded for the Herald label and later leased to Vee Jay shortly before the label went bankrupt. That unfortunate fate sank Williams' career until the resurgence of "Stay" due to the song's inclusion in the 1987 film Dirty Dancing. Serious collectors should note the addition of both the single and LP versions of "Come Along." ~ Al Campbell
