After gaining prominence singing with the popular Grupo Limite, Mexican singer Alicia Villarreal embarked on a solo career. ORGULLO DE MUJER, the artist's third solo effort, features more of her contemporary take on traditional Mexican folk, effortlessly blending ranchera, cumbia, tejano, and ballads. Villarreal's voice, brash and sultry at once, is in top form throughout this fine collection.
