Dark, eerie, head-nodding hip-hop is the province of Dark Lotus, and the outfit's third album, OPAQUE BROTHERHOOD, continues in that vein, moving into even darker, eerier territory. Several rappers for the roster of Psychopathic Records are on board, including Twiztid and Shaggy, while the beats are from newcomer Akuma. The lyrics detail violence and bloodshed, but it's the propulsive, bass-heavy tracks and layered atmospherics that gives OPAQUE BROTHERHOOD its ominous appeal.
