Title Note

The classic albums of Waylon Jennings include here on CD are "The One And Only," "Heartaches By The Numbers," "All American Country," "All American Country 2."

The Collectables imprint's "Only the Best" series basically assembles several compilations together in a multi-disc package; compilations they've previously issued. There's a ton of good stuff here, from the well known to the obscure, and for some fans, an entire disc of duets between Jennings and wife Jessi Colter would seem to be ideal (the one in this set, the last, comes in under the title ALL AMERICAN COUNTRY, confusing since it's the same one given to the first disc in the box). This collection contains some well-known tracks such as "Ladies Love Outlaws" and "Good Ol' Boys," but lacks far too many others to be called definitive. If you already have all the hits, this might be an economical way to explore further, but with the lack of proper documentation, it's difficult to know what era of Jennings you may be listening to.
