Over the years, the Nerves have attained a near-mythological status in the world of power pop. The short-lived trio was a supergroup-in-the-making, with Peter Case going on to form the Plimsouls, Paul Collins founding the Beat, and Jack Lee launching a solo career. They only lasted long enough to release one EP, but ONE WAY TICKET gives a full accounting of their story by adding previously unreleased live and studio cuts, as well as some tunes from the members' post-Nerves work. Blondie was hip to the Nerves back in the late `70s, cutting their "Hanging on the Telephone" for the iconic PARALLEL LINES album, but now the rest of the world can finally start playing catch-up.
