Chris LeDoux is a man of contradictions. He abandoned a promising career as a rodeo rider to become a country singer. He began by recording cowboy songs, but soon began to incorporate more contemporary influences. Nowhere are this artist's inherent contradictions more apparent than on ONE ROAD MAN. He may still look like a cowboy (hell, there's even a photo in the booklet of him and his horse), but on this album he expands his musical horizons more than ever before. There are rock-oriented arrangements, there's a collaboration with Charlie Daniels, and there's one thing you probably never thought possible; "Bang A Drum," written by and sung with none other than Jon Bon Jovi. Never was an album title so misleading.
