Was able to listen to this CD because of One2One, and wow, I loved it. Really
liked the songs they were pretty mellow.

Soul. Acoustics. One eskimO gives you depth that your surround speakers have
been aching for. "Kandi" may be what draws you in, but the cd continues to
produce more then a one-hit wonder. I really like "Slip" and "Simple Day", but
the cd as a whole is good. This cd has a nice, laid back vibe. The vocals are
smooth, and I really enjoy music that enables more then the typical background
assortment. Sit back, pop in your SkullCandy and you will delight in how they
have enabled such background involvement, all weaving seemlessly into the main
melodies. Overall, a great buy.

I had never heard of One Eskimo before, but I received a promo copy to review
from OneToOne Network. After listening to the CD a few times, I am sure this
will be a summer staple for me. The sound is chilled out, ambient, with
relatable lyrics. I would love to see a little more variety in song selections
on the CD but the easy flow from song to song really helps relax the listener.

I received a promotional copy of this CD from One2One Network recently and I
must say this is a fantastic cd. The music is mellow, soulful and easy to
listen. One of the songs getting airplay right now is Kandi. I have also enjoyed
these songs: Chosen One,Simple Day and Amazing. This group is from the United
Kingdom and I would recommend this cd for anyone looking for up beat, mellow,
soulful songs.

One eskimO self titled One eskimO
The music on this cd is breathy, laid
back, simple, and sultry, all in one. The song Hometime, when I play it, freaks
out one of my cats! She starts crying, then jumps around. The song Kandi, is
my favorite. The first time I heard it, I thought it was a good song. Then I
watched the season finale of the tv show Bones, and I fell in love with it! At
the end of the show, it showed Bones & Sealy saying goodbye for a year. They
looked into the others eyes, and you can hear the song in the background. You
think that they will finally kiss, but they do not. I hit the dvr several times
just to listen to the song, then realized I had heard it before. It was in my
stereo waiting to e reviewed! And yes, I did receive the cd at no cost to
review. So when you listen to the cd, play it a few times, and give it a
chance!
The band has been on the Ellen show, the song Hometime was in a
Toyota commercial, and the song Kandi, is a #1 radio hit song! So I’m sure they
will be around for a long time, and I look forward to hearing much more from
them!

This CD is a relaxing, whimsical journey. One eskimO has been playing in my car
for the past several week, and my drive is always relaxing when it is playing.
It is next to impossible to be upset while the upbeat, dreamlike sounds of One
eskimO floating around the car. The songs delight like fireflies dancing on a
summer’s eve. The whole CD is excellent to play over and over. Highly
recommended. (I received a copy of One eskimO to review for the One eskimO
project with One2One Network, which did not influence my review nor was I
otherwise compensated for my review.)

Mellow Melody, June 1, 2010

This album was a little too mellow for my taste, but for those who are into
mellow and ambient music, I could see this becoming a very popular group.
They have a very retro sound - reminiscent of Coldplay, but with a more emo
sound to them. I really liked All Balloons."
For people who really like a
retro (almost 60s-70s) sound and interesting lyrics - this is a GO TO album!
Surprisingly Amazing, June 1, 2010

I had never heard of One eskimO before receiving a copy of the CD to review,
although, after listening to Kandi, I am sure that I have heard that song
before. It’s a very soulful, catchy song. I also loved the songs Given Up with
its more rock-like guitar riffs throughout the song as well as UFO. Chosen One
and Amazing were other favorites of mine with meaningful lyrics about life along
with great music. This entire album is very mellow and relaxing, making me want
to gather around a table with a group of friends and family while having good
food and conversation. I love the use of brass and horns in the background, and
the vocals are clear and very melodic, almost putting you into a dream state.
Although hesitant at first, I feel fortunate that I was given such an enjoyable
CD to review, and I would definitely be able to recommend this album.
Give it a chance - I dont think you will be disappointed!, May 28, 2010

I never heard of One eskimO before but based on the band name alone, I figured I
was in for something new and different. I was pleasantly surprised by this band
and felt like the CD is something I would recommend. It has an easy listening
style vibe and definitely offers something different from other bands I listen
to. Chosen One and Amuzing were my faves but other tracks on the CD were very
good, too. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something mild,
pleasant, and soothing.

One Eskimo is someone I had heard on the radio once. I knew very little about
them. This cd was not anything like I thought it would be. I had heard the song
Kandi, played on the radio and almost liked it but I was not as pleased with the
whole album. There is something missing. Maybe it is the arrangement or maybe it
is the songs themselves, but it just dose not come together as a work of art. I
think maybe the songs are just not right for the lead singer, although he is
good. I believe if he had the right songs he could go far. There is very little
rise and fall in the tones of the songs throughout the whole album. You get very
bored after the first couple of songs. Needless to say, I was a little
disappointed with the cd, One Eskimo. To me, Kandi was the best song on the
album. The album leaves you wanting something much more in the way of
entertainment. I look forward to their next album. Maybe they will have better
luck with it.
(One 2 One Network provided me with a CD to review, but my
thoughts and opinions are my own and uncompensated.)
