Title Note

This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.

Berry Gordy founded Tamala Records on January 12, 1959. A year later he changed the name to Motown, the label that would go on to create its own distinctive sound, a blend of R&B, soul, and pop. This release celebrates the 50th anniversary of the massively popular and influential label's founding, cherrypicking highlights from its considerable catalogue. A mere 25 tracks obviously can't provide a full overview, but with the best from groups like the Marvelettes, the Temptations, and the Four Tops, and singers like Marvin Gaye and Diana Ross, NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MOTOWN is a mix with no lows.
