Synopsis

Cocktail waitress Cassie has never recovered from her one major mistake -- a spur-of-the moment stabbing of her ex-boyfriend. Though she did no real damage to him, the incident cost her her baby and made Cassie an object of shame in the small town where she lives. So when a traveling theatrical company comes riding into her small hamlet, bringing a young man who instantly notices Cassie, she's not immediately responsive. But he persists, and forces her to make a choice: staying and remaining mired in her past, or moving out and into the future with a new love.

Product Notes

This romantic comedy by Pulitzer Prize winner Beth Henley is about a waitress in a small southwestern town bored with life and herself until she meets the set designer of a traveling theatre troupe. He encourages her to begin acting, which gives her the self-confidence to look positively toward the future.
