Title Note

Singer/songwriter Edwin McCain may have intially earned notice in the 1990s through his connection with Hootie & the Blowfish, but over time he has established himself as a rootsy troubadour to be reckoned with. His 10th album, NOBODY'S FAULT BUT MINE, finds him spotlighting his influences by covering a passel of soul classics such as Little Milton's "Grits Ain't Groceries" and the classic Otis Redding ballad "I've Got Dreams to Remember." McCain wisely doesn't try to recreate the originals; instead, he adds a dash of funk here and a touch of rock there, coming up with a sound that's full of history yet still undeniably individual.
